Mark Kano

Mark Kano is a singer-songwriter from Greensboro, NC. His first band Athenaeum, was signed to Atlantic Records and EMI Music Publishing towards the end of the 90’s. The late Billboard Magazine editor Timothy White called Athenaeum’s album « Radiance », one of the best albums of 1998 in his « Music To My Ears » column. « Radiance » went on to sell over 100,000 copies and produced the top ten Modern Rock hit « What I Didn’t Know ». Many years later Mark Kano has reemerged as a solo artist with another stellar collection of songs appearing on his debut solo record « Walking On Broadway ». Kano’s distinctive baritone voice and thoughtful lyrics lead you through a melodic maze of bitter-sweet love songs. Kano’s music has appeared in film and television shows such as Varsity Blues, Melrose place and MTV’s The Hills and Made.
